SUSTAINABILITY EXPLORATION PROGRAM
Is a multi– discipline, pre-college summer program organized by the Sustainability and the Built Environment program at College of Design, Construction and Planning for high school (juniors and seniors). UF is the top public university in building green with over 96 green buildings (LEED certified).
Participants will learn about sustainability with hands on experience using University’s buildings, grounds, and systems and see sustainability in action with top and experienced faculty, field trips, and industry guest speakers. Field trips include university, city, one to historic St. Augustine to learn about sea level rise and sustainability at a coastal city, and a field trip to Disney World to learn its sustainability practices. Join us and experience life on UF campus too.
PROGRAM FEES
The $2,250 program fee for the Sustainability Exploration Program covers the program’s two weeks of instruction, on- campus housing, supplies & materials, travel expenses to St Augustine, Orlando, and other local field trips.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Program dates are June 15, 2024-June 29, 2024.
The deadline for all application materials is May 1, 2024.
