UF’s Center for Precollegiate Education and Training (CPET) provides challenging and inspiring precollegiate experiences for Floridians and future Florida Gators from all over the world. With your support and donation CPET can expand access to our programs to students in Florida’s communities that are currently underserved by UF.

CPET builds collaborations between K12 educators, school district representatives, UF’s community of scholars, and community and industry partners to provide innovative and authentic research and training experiences for secondary education teachers and students.

CPET’s suite of immersive programs explore the cutting-edges in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to promote college readiness and competitiveness for middle school and high school students, and to offer professional development for secondary education teachers. Our programs are designed to ignite curiosity and reinforce students' educational support systems.

Success in higher education is greatly impacted by socioeconomics, and for students from low-income families and communities, access to 4-year colleges is particularly improved through participation in precollegiate programs like those offered at UF’s CPET. Educational success is dependent on access to opportunities that nurture curiosity, skills, motivation, self-efficacy, and content-knowledge needed to tackle advanced course work and challenging prerequisites. Your donations will directly create access to such opportunities for precollegiates from underserved communities and low-income households.
